Program Overview
SHMA is a locally-owned massage school, serving people in the OKC Metro to help them become license therapists in the state of Oklahoma. Our curriculum is comprehensive, evidence-based, and designed for the adult-learner. Supporting our local community is a cornerstone the program, which is shown in the time spent in group discussions, guest speakers community student-clinic days, and externship program. We deliver highly trained, passionate, and ethical massage therapists to the public to provide for the high demand in our area.

What Sets SHMA Apart
Relaxed Learning Environment
An experiential program for people who hate sitting in a classroom. There are no cold classrooms and all day lectures. Days will be split between interactive lessons, hands on learning, and massage time. Perfect for anyone for whom traditional education did not work, or who needs more help learning new concepts.
No Student Clinic
Replaced with Community Days, our students will still receive hands-on training with diverse bodies and issues, but there is no payment required to receive these services. Clients are vetted and chosen to increase the learning experience. We as a school love giving back to the community in this way.
One Capped Class Per Year
All students will begin and end the course at the same time, simplifying the learning process. With one class per year, we encourage a different type of classroom, where students are engaged in the lessons, learning, and growing together. We hope that this intentional process creates a supportive culture within our students.
